What to expect

All of our online classes are taught via Zoom so please make sure you have access to this platform before you join your live virtual class. We will email you the unique class ID and passcode to join, and we'll let you into your class a few minutes before it starts.

Check your space! If you’re joining for the first time, make sure you have placed your mat in clear view of the camera so that we can see you but also, you can see us throughout the class. We recommend that you lay your mat horizontally to the screen. If you aren’t sure, we can help you place your mat once you join the class. You will also need enough space to be able to stand up, and once on the mat, stretch your legs and arms out lengthways and sideways. Make sure you have your small Pilates props to hand so that you can use these during each class easily.

If you are joining a group class, please click the mute button upon entering and then our instructors will check in with you all individually, taking you off mute, once everyone has joined. Once the class gets started, we will keep you all on mute so that the screen remains clearly on our lovely instructors throughout. However, if you have a question or aren’t 100% sure about one of the movements or exercises, please do not hesitate to take yourself off mute and let us know - we’re here to help you get the best experience possible out of each class!

If you are joining our Virtual Studio privately, you don’t need to be on mute during your class as there will be less background noise and we will be keeping an ongoing dialogue with you throughout the lesson.

All of our classes are fully demonstrated by our brilliant and very skilled instructors so please don’t worry if you are new to Pilates or have had a break in your practice, you will be able to see each movement clearly on the screen.

Place us on ‘speaker view!’ We allow a maximum of 12 clients to participate in our group classes and recommend that you place us on speaker view once you have entered the class. This means we will be prioritised on your screen, so you can easily see what we are asking you to do.

Every class will start and finish with a lovely warm up and calming cool down to start and end your practice safely. By all means, roll out your mat a few minutes earlier and start moving your body or even just get on your mat and relax before the class begins!

We'd love to hear your feedback!

If you have any questions, concerns or anything you think we could improve on, please let us know and we will do our best to work on this. Please email us at: hello@theclubpilates.co.uk
